Armen Sarkissian Signs Decree to Schedule Early Parliamentary Elections on June 20

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree to schedule early parliamentary elections for June 20.

"Based on the requirements of Articles 92 and 93 of the Constitution and considering the automatic dissolution of the National Assembly as per Part 3 of Article 149 of the Constitution:

1. The early elections for the National Assembly are set for June 20, 2021.
2. This decree will come into force the day after it is officially published," the decree states.
