The End of Evil and Justice: Gevorg Papoyan's Fairy Tale from the Parliament

Member of Parliament from the "My Step" faction, Gevorg Papoyan, presented his speech on justice in the National Assembly by comparing it to the fairy tale "The End of Evil," titling it "The End of Evil and Justice."

“If the fox had been punished, imprisoned, it certainly wouldn’t have been able to eat the second cub of the hen. If it had at least been punished after eating the second one, it wouldn’t have been able to eat the third cub. Here is the inseparability that leads to the fox digesting the first cub and moving on to the second and third. As a result, the lack of justice harmed not only the actual victim—the hen, whose cubs became victims of the absence of justice—but it also harmed the state, society, nature, and even the fox itself. Because if there were justice, the fox would not have become a victim of the dog but would have been condemned to punishment, and after serving its sentence, would have continued to live peacefully in nature according to its rules.

In summary, I would like to emphasize that justice is a necessity for all of us, both for the supposed victims and those who think they are in a state of impunity. It is justice that gives us all the opportunity to avoid self-harm and to fight against each other in a civilized manner, protecting each other’s rights. I hope that one day an environment will come to our country where we won’t have issues of justice and won’t face all the problems and questions that the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan described,” concluded Papoyan.
