In This Context, We Are Facing the Danger of a New War... Tigran Abrahamyan on the Uncertain Status of Artsakh

Head of the Henaket Analytical Center and former security advisor to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a Facebook post stating:

“It is hard to imagine a greater threat for Artsakh than keeping the status issue in uncertainty. This is directly linked to the security of Artsakh. If we take into account the provisions of the trilateral statement of November 9, particularly the five-year timeframe for the agreements, it becomes clear that every five years, in the absence of a regulated status, we are facing the danger of a new war. What the price and losses will be for the extension of the agreements each five years is still unclear, but the constant risks accompanying it will, unfortunately, follow us for decades. The current authorities not only failed to incorporate this issue into the trilateral statement document but are also not taking effective steps to bring these matters back to the forefront of the agenda today.

In this context, the Russian side will also move along the path and with the priorities that primarily fit into its regional agenda. Armenia, as a party, is even absent on issues that concern it, and since November 9, all matters related to us are being discussed and addressed by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, and others with Russia.”
