Zaroukian's Case Is Not Closed, It Will Be Investigated For A Long Time: Prosecutor
The case of Gagik Zaroukian, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, is not closed. This was stated today by the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, in response to questions from lawmakers.
“That criminal case is under investigation. For understandable reasons, it will take a long time to investigate, because it involves large-scale criminal manifestations involving thousands of individuals. It is clear that the investigation must conclude everything, and a legal assessment must be given to it,” said Davtyan.
Davtyan also announced that no criminal case should remain unclear to the public.
It is worth noting that on June 14, 2020, the NSS conducted a search at Gagik Zaroukian's residence. Later, it was revealed that three criminal cases had been initiated against him for illegal entrepreneurial activity, bribery, and land appropriation.
