Turkey Violates Greek Airspace 40 Times in 24 Hours
Turkey has repeatedly violated Greek airspace over the past day, according to a report by Greek City Times.
Aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force and Navy breached Greek airspace in the northeastern, central, and southeastern regions of the Aegean Sea within the last 24 hours. Three pairs of F-16 fighters, four of which were armed, along with two ART-72 aircraft from the Navy, collectively violated airspace a total of 40 times. In two instances, the F-16 fighters flew over the islands of Ainous and Panagia at an altitude of just 6 kilometers.
In 2020, Turkey violated Greek airspace more than 400 times in total.
