Driver Found in Pit in Yerevan Due to 'Veolia Water' Negligence

In recent days, the incomplete construction work in front of the address 29/10 on Lenin Avenue in Yerevan, due to the replacement of a manhole by 'Veolia Water', has become a true disaster for drivers. The large 'Veolia Water' company, for some unknown reason, has failed to observe basic safety protocols; there is no external lighting or signage to warn drivers that work is underway in the specified area, which would allow them to avoid falling into the pit.

On May 5, 28-year-old Karen Keshishyan, a resident of Yerevan, became the next victim of 'Veolia Water' negligence. Around 1:00 AM, he found himself in a pit dug for construction work while driving his Opel vehicle, resulting in bodily injuries that required hospitalization at the 'Armenia' Medical Center.

A rescue team from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Service's No. 7 unit promptly responded to the scene. Officers from the Yerevan Road Police also arrived quickly.
