Blinken-Zelensky Meeting Kicks Off in Kyiv
Today, May 6, in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, a meeting has begun between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to RIA Novosti.
As previously reported by Tert.am, during the meeting, Blinken will reaffirm U.S. support for Ukraine's sovereignty amidst Russian aggression.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba indicated that he is holding talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and emphasized the significance of his visit to Kyiv. Kuleba tweeted, “It is important that my colleague and friend Antony Blinken chose Ukraine for his first visit to this part of Europe. Strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S. as democratic allies in Central Europe and the Black Sea contributes to security and the success of our countries and the entire Euro-Atlantic area.”
On Thursday, Blinken begins the official part of his two-day visit to Kyiv, where he will also meet with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
