The Murder Victim in Ejmiadzin Was One of 'Don Pippo's' Bodyguards: Shamshyan
On May 4, gunshots were heard in the Armavir region. Between 22:00 and 22:10, the police department in Vagharshapat received a report of gunfire on Vazgen 1st Street in the city of Ejmiadzin, Shamshyan.com reports.
Police soon determined that the body of a young man with gunshot wounds had been transported to the 'Vagharshapat' medical center from the scene. Officers and investigators discovered over 30 spent cartridges from a firearm at the location, and about 200 meters away, a crashed Hyundai Elantra was found with signs of gunfire. Additionally, the gunfire caused damage to a Ford Transit vehicle belonging to a local resident parked in front of his home.
Several citizens gathered at the scene, who refused to speak on camera, reported that the deceased was one of 'Don Pippo's' (Arthur Asatryan) bodyguards.
According to sources, he was identified as 29-year-old Razmik Sogoyan, a resident of the Araks village in the Armavir region.
