Sergey Lavrov to Arrive in Armenia Today
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will arrive in Armenia on May 5th and will hold meetings with the leadership of Armenia the following day. He is also scheduled to visit Baku on May 10-11, according to TASS, as reported by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The meetings are expected to thoroughly discuss issues related to bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as matters concerning international collaboration. However, the primary focus of the negotiations will be the discussion of the implementation of agreements reached between the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue," said Zakharova.
On April 1, Sergey Lavrov hosted high-level negotiations on the same issue with Armenia's Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
