No Revelations in the April War Inquiry Commission's Report, Melkumyan Says
There have been no revelations in the inquiry commission's report related to the April War. This was stated by MP Mikayel Melkumyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly.
It is noteworthy that today, the report from the inquiry commission regarding the April events was presented and discussed in a closed session of the National Assembly.
"Since the session was closed, I cannot say much. I cannot state that there were revelations, but there were some incidents and factors that were presented," Melkumyan noted.
He also mentioned that due to the confidentiality of the report, he does not consider it appropriate to comment on the shortcomings of the Armenian side.
According to Melkumyan, detailed information was provided in the report; however, many questions remain unanswered.
It is recalled that MP Andranik Kocharyan from the My Step faction had earlier stated during a briefing that many questions related to the war had been documented in the report. He assured that parts of the report would be made available to the public in the near future.
