Pashinyan Thanked Serzh Sargsyan
At one point, Serzh Sargsyan wrote a letter to mediators. This was announced by Nikol Pashinyan in parliament, noting that in that letter, Sargsyan used the term "resident of Nagorno-Karabakh."
"He expressed concern that regarding the supposed referendum, the location is not specified, but it is mentioned that the entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh should have the opportunity for free expression of will... Years will pass, and we will know that Serzh Sargsyan has concerns about how many Azerbaijanis will be considered residents of Nagorno-Karabakh in this context. From this fact, we learn that residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, including Azerbaijanis, should participate in this potential referendum. The question is: for Azerbaijanis to be considered residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, they must live in Nagorno-Karabakh. I'm not yet addressing the topic of how many there will be. If they are residents, they should live somewhere. I want to thank the rejected one in this regard for giving this opportunity," he said, emphasizing that Sargsyan's statements gave him the impetus to say so.
