Nonsense: Ministry of Defense on Azerbaijani Claims of Armenian Soldiers Shooting at Their Own

Azerbaijani sources claim that an Armenian soldier was killed by his own troops while attempting to cross the border and surrender. The media from the opposing country reports that the incident occurred in the section of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, in the direction of the Azerbaijani village of Jafarli and the Armenian village of Vazashen.

In an interview with Auroranews, the Armenian Ministry of Defense referred to the information disseminated by Azerbaijani media as 'nonsense,' stating that supposedly 'the Armenian armed forces opened fire on one of their own servicemen who attempted to cross to the Azerbaijani side.' The Ministry emphasized that such a scenario could only exist in the imagination of Azerbaijani propagandists.

It is worth noting that the village of Vazashen is located in the Tavush region.
