Storm Warning: Intense Thunderstorms, Strong Winds, and Possible Hail Expected in Armenia

In Armenia, on May 2, significant areas will experience short-term rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a higher likelihood on the 3rd and 4th, particularly after noon. On May 5-6, rain and thunderstorms are expected intermittently across all regions, with some areas experiencing intense storms. Hail is also possible in certain segments.

During the nights of May 3-4 and on the 7th, dry weather is anticipated. Winds will be from the southwest, with speeds of 5-10 m/s, while during thunderstorms, wind gusts may reach 15-20 m/s, increasing to 20-25 m/s on May 5-6.

The air temperature will gradually rise by 7-9 degrees during the day on May 2-4, followed by a drop of the same magnitude on the 5-6.

In Yerevan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas during the second half of the day on May 2-3, with intermittent rain on the 5-6, and rain and thunderstorms anticipated after noon on the 7th, alongside potential wind intensification of 15-20 m/s during storms. Dry conditions are expected on May 4 and the night of the 7th.
