VIDEO. Attempted Murder in Yerevan: Footage from Special Operation
On April 10, at 20:50, a citizen called the police to report gunshots fired at a store on Verfeli Street in Yerevan. Shortly thereafter, a report was received from a medical center indicating that a man had been hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
The law enforcement authorities carried out necessary measures at the scene. A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of attempted murder and illegal possession, storage, and use of weapons.
Shortly after, the Criminal Police Department received operational information regarding the individual who committed the crime, leading to the identification of the suspect. On April 17, a search warrant was issued for him.
Extensive measures to locate the suspect yielded results on April 29. Officers from the Criminal Police Department found the wanted individual in a house in the community of Aragyugh, Kotayk Province. He was taken into custody at the Malatya police station and subsequently transferred to a correctional facility.
