Fire Extinguished Near 80 Arami Street

On April 30, at 07:17, the National Center for Crisis Management received reports of smoke observed near the tunnel at 80 Arami Street in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Six firefighting teams from the firefighting and rescue department of Yerevan, a gas protection service vehicle, an operational group from the National Center for Crisis Management, and shifts from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization and Medical Support Department were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the cables feeding the Little Center neighborhood were burning in a pit near 80 Arami Street.

Two firefighters were injured by smoke inhalation while conducting firefighting operations and were hospitalized at Armenia Medical Center. Doctors have assessed their health condition as moderate severity.

The firefighters contained the fire at 17:05 and extinguished it at 18:48. In the pit (a section of about 200 meters), 6000-volt cables were burned.
