Lexus Hits Pedestrian in Kotayk Province, Victim Dies on the Spot

On April 24, a fatal pedestrian incident occurred in Kotayk Province. At around 3:30 PM, the driver of a Lexus RX 330 struck a 60-65-year-old male pedestrian on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 31.4 km mark, within the Charentsavan administrative area.

According to shamshyan.com reporting from the scene, the pedestrian died instantly. Eyewitnesses indicated that the driver did not flee the scene and attempted to provide assistance, but his health deteriorated, necessitating his transfer to a hospital for medical care.

Before being taken to the hospital, the driver called the police, alerted the hospital, and then contacted the traffic police operational control center. Authorities are currently working to identify both the driver and the deceased.
