"The Question of Providing Routes to Azerbaijan via Meghri Has Raised Serious Concerns Among the Population," Says NSS Director to the Head of the Investigative Committee

Lawyer Lusine Sahakyan has published an excerpt from a letter by NSS Director Armen Abazyan addressed to the Head of the Investigative Committee, Hayk Grigoryan. The letter clarifies that the claims that the insults directed at him in Syunik were organized are completely false, as the NSS has recorded that "the issue of providing routes to Azerbaijan through the Meghri region and the existing uncertainty has raised serious concerns among the entire population of the Meghri region, and a large part of the population blames the Prime Minister of Armenia, N. Pashinyan, for this matter. This has caused a highly emotional situation among some individuals."

In fact, the NSS confirms that yesterday locals who are concerned about the future of their homeland were detained and tortured.
