I Come to Establish Dignified Peace in Power: Kocharyan

The ten years of my presidency were the most peaceful years for Armenia, stated the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, during a meeting with his supporters.

He recalled the words of the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who said before leaving office: "The party of peace is departing, the party of war is coming." However, it turned out to be the exact opposite: we had the most peaceful ten years in Armenia and the fewest casualties on the front line, that is a fact," he said.

Kocharyan emphasized that he comes to power to establish dignified peace.

“And not only dignified peace but also a prosperous life; during those ten years, we proved that the country can develop together with Nagorno-Karabakh, that is a fact,” declared Kocharyan.
