I Am Proud That I Have Earned This Government's Hatred: Robert Kocharyan
I understand that I will be the main target in the elections. This was stated by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, during a meeting with his supporters on April 21.
“I am proud that I have earned this government’s hatred. The elections will be bipolar, and what the government is doing today regarding me or the possible alliance that I will lead is campaigning on my behalf. They are supporting and will support the formation of this pole. Many believe that they have started campaigning and we are lagging behind. We are calm, we will move forward with our planned steps. As soon as we give our resignation, we will start our work the next day. If the government today is busy with thousands of questions and engaged in campaigning, it does not mean that I have to enter the same process thinking that I might fall behind. We know when we will start, how we will start, and with what forces. Just trust me on this issue,” he said.
Kocharyan also noted that the choice will be between two poles. “What do we want? Do we want a defeated, humiliated, dishonorable future and a miserable life in the economy, or do we want a dignified peace and a prosperous life? Sadly, it will turn into black and white again. If people want a miserable future and an undignified life, we will offer them a completely different opportunity,” he stated.
