Urgent: Citizens Block Road of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Syunik
In Syunik, special forces and 500 officers from the National Security Service and police were mobilized to secure Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's movement. The tense situation continues as residents chant slogans such as "Nikol the Traitor" and "Turkey's Nikol," blocking the road and demanding that he leave their region.
Residents of Shurnukh insulted Pashinyan's convoy, forcing them to speed away in their vehicles. Hraparak reported that moments ago, Pashinyan visited Shurnukh, knocked on a random door, and entered with sweets in hand. The resident was caught off guard. Receiving a cold welcome, Pashinyan soon exited. News of the Prime Minister’s presence in Shurnukh quickly spread throughout the village.
Locals attempted to gather rapidly to express their discontent, but security personnel quickly ushered Pashinyan into a vehicle and sped away towards Kapan. According to Mediaport, he walked about 300 meters in Kapan’s center accompanied by hundreds of police and security personnel before heading to the "Elegant" restaurant for dinner.
