Former Deputy Prime Minister Highlights Three Major Failures of Pashinyan

The former Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Armen Gevorgyan, made a post on his Facebook page reflecting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s three-year tenure. "Today marks three years since the onset of the Nikolism era. I invite everyone to summarize the results of his work in several categories by May 8: Pashinyan's main failures, his pointless decisions and documents, and his fundamental crimes. I suggest that we do not follow his example and instead prepare a top-ten list in all categories based on numerous facts. For clarity, I would list the failure of peaceful negotiations and the 44-day war, as well as the failure in combating the coronavirus as main failures. Regarding violations, I would recall the blockade of court buildings and the unconstitutional changes to the composition of the Constitutional Court. Among the accepted pointless decisions, I would like to mention the National Security Strategy adopted in July 2020.

This exercise will help all political forces in Armenia not to forget that our country’s issue today is not the past and former officials, but the current destructive figures. They have undermined our present and deprived us of a future. Incidentally, the National Security Strategy adopted in July 2020 will become a symbol of complete failure and political bankruptcy for all generations of Armenians. In the modern political history, Armenia will be the first country where an adopted national security strategy turns into waste within just two months.

Try to assess the significance of this document for your life while recalling the four fundamental national interests mentioned in it:
- Ensuring Armenia's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of Artsakh.
- Strengthening peace and international cooperation.
- Upholding democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, as well as sustainable economic development of the country.
