Mrs. Davoyan Should Choose Her Words and Phrasing More Carefully: MP on Arpi Davoyan's Statements
Mrs. Davoyan should choose her words and phrasing more carefully. This was the response of independent MP Anna Grigoryan to reporters' questions.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, Nikol Pashinyan visited the Syunik region. A group of citizens hurled insults at the Prime Minister and demanded that he leave the area. During this time, MP Arpi Davoyan from the 'My Step' faction responded to a journalist from the 'Factor' news site that there are directed provocative actions taking place in Syunik, and that the mayor of Meghri has maintained a gang of around 30 people there. Arpi Davoyan expressed the opinion that they had created an atmosphere of fear and did not allow citizens to approach the Prime Minister.
In response to the comment that the Prime Minister had mentioned he would address the insults and insults directed at him, the MP said, 'Yes, it was correct to say that. No one in Syunik will go unpunished. They know very well what they have done, and they know very well what they are doing today, yes, they will not go unpunished.'
The independent MP emphasized that the MP should not decide who should be punished and who should not, while supporting the actions of the citizens of Syunik. 'Ms. Davoyan is the representative of the Investigative Committee, the NSS, how can she decide who should be punished? Finally, can an MP, a public figure, value their words and also think about what they are saying? I believe that if someone has committed a crime, they should be punished, but I also think that definitely Mrs. Davoyan should not decide this issue,' concluded the independent MP.
