Law Enforcement Raids the Apartment of Meghri's Mayor

Last night, on April 22nd, around 01:00, law enforcement authorities raided the apartment of the head of the Meghri consolidated community, Mkhitar Zakaryan. This information was confirmed to NEWS.am by Vasgen Sahakyan, the spokesperson for the 'Renaissance Armenia' party, noting that the search is currently underway and the mayor's lawyer is not present.

“Mkhitar Zakaryan is not at home personally, we are having difficulty saying what they are trying to find. Naturally, this is a consequence of today’s events and the hysterical reaction of Nikol Pashinyan to those events, as well as apparent illegal instructions. There is nothing new here; they are fabricating some artificial cases against these guys, and they don’t even know how to put a case together. I think they are searching for something that could validate the illegal order they received from the Prime Minister,” he stated.

It’s noteworthy that Mkhitar Zakaryan is a member of the board of the 'Renaissance Armenia' party.
