Gavar Police Uncover Another Major Fraud Case Involving Children
Gavar police officers have uncovered yet another case of fraud. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, officers from the criminal investigation and community policing departments of the Gavar police, led by department chief Igor Mesropyan, received operational information as a result of conducted measures.
It was revealed that between September of last year and April of this year, a 44-year-old resident of Gegharkunik Province, Tatul Zh., along with his underage son, allegedly exploited the trust of Gavar resident, 35-year-old Mane M., and demanded a large sum of money from her through deception. Sources indicate that the amount totals approximately $2,200, 4,000 Russian rubles, and the information received by Gavar police has confirmed that Mane M.'s underage son obtained this money from their home.
Following the incident, materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the Gavar police. Tatul Zh. and his underage son have been presented to the Gavar police department, while Mane M. has been summoned for questioning.
According to the photojournalist's information, Mane M. works in one of the power structures of Armenia.
