Eight Individuals Detained Near Government Building: Police

Today, eight individuals were detained by the police near the Government building. This was stated by Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Police Information Department, in an interview with Tert.am.

“Eight citizens have been taken to the police station for committing an act stipulated by Article 182 of the Administrative Offenses Code; an official report will be drawn up,” said Janoyan.

Earlier today, a group of citizens representing the "Liberation" movement had chained themselves to the government gates, attempting to prevent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from entering the building.

It is noteworthy that Article 182 of the RA Administrative Offenses Code pertains to the failure to comply with the legal requirements of a police officer or a serviceman of the police force during the performance of duties related to maintaining public order, ensuring public safety, and protecting facilities.
