Authorities Provide Details on Gunfire Incident at Residential Home in Stepanakert
On April 21, a resident of Stepanakert, identified as Kh.M. (born 1984), reported to the police that at around 3:00 PM on April 20, unknown individuals discharged a firearm towards his home located at 13 V. Vagharchyan Street, Apartment 46. The gunfire caused damage to the metal roof, floor, and ceiling of the residence.
An investigator from the Artsakh Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs' investigation department arrived at the scene. It was determined that the shots were fired from a firearm of 7.62 mm caliber (such as a rifle or AK-47). At the time of the incident, Kh.M. was inside the house with his two minor children. Fortunately, no one was harmed.
The Artsakh police are currently preparing materials to determine the further course of the case. The municipal police department is handling the investigation.
Additionally, the Ministry is also gathering materials and evidence regarding reported ceasefire violations in the villages of Shosh and Mkhitarashen in the Askeran region, as well as in the Taghavard community of the Martuni region, to present to the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces.
