US Ambassador Meets with Syunik Governor, Mayors of Meghri, Goris, and Sisian

During his visit to Syunik, Ambassador Tracey met with Governor Melikset Poghosyan and community leaders Mikayel Zakaryan (Meghri), Arush Arushanyan (Goris), and Arthur Sargsyan (Sisian). Syunik province has been disproportionately affected by the dual blows of the pandemic and the war. This was stated in a press release from the US Embassy in Armenia.

“The governor and community leaders provided the ambassador with a more detailed overview of the situation and discussed the humanitarian assistance being provided by the US government to those displaced by the war. Ambassador Tracey also addressed the US's continued support for the development of the region during his discussions with Armenian officials,” the embassy's statement said.
