The Issue of Artsakh is a Matter of Prestige for Azerbaijan; Syunik is a Strategically Significant Issue for Everyone

I believe that this visit was not electoral, but rather related to certain changes regarding Syunik that he has not yet managed to implement in favor of Azerbaijan. Vazgen Manukyan, a candidate for Prime Minister from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, stated this in a recent conversation with reporters.

“He has been scaring the people with war; in my opinion, he did not stop the war to create fear among the people regarding potential conflict. Whatever happens, he says there will be war, creating anxiety. As long as he is the leader of Armenia, Armenia has no future. We must definitely remove him; not even present do we have,” Manukyan said.

“I think there are issues that Azerbaijan has not resolved until the end, and the visit was related to that. From a strategic point of view, if the takeover of Artsakh territories was a matter of prestige for Azerbaijan, then the issue of Syunik is a matter of great strategic importance. The neighbors are also more interested in the issue of Syunik than in the issue of Artsakh. Persians, Chinese, everyone is more concerned with this issue,” Manukyan added.
