Man Arrested in Gyumri on Suspicion of Killing His Wife
On April 20, 2021, at 8:10 PM, the Gyumri Emergency Medical Services received a call reporting that a 63-year-old woman from Gyumri had been transported to a medical center with stab wounds to the chest and left abdomen.
This information was provided by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia's Department of Information and Public Relations.
On the same day, a criminal case was initiated at the Shirak Regional Investigative Department under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (murder).
During the preliminary investigation, a scene examination was conducted, and a knife, identified as the murder weapon, was found and seized. Several individuals were interrogated, and a forensic medical examination of the body was ordered.
The husband of the 63-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of her murder. The investigation is ongoing, and further investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case.
