Government Hopes for Return of Armenian Prisoners During or Before European Championship

According to conversations obtained by 'Iravunk', there are high hopes within the ruling 'My Step' alliance regarding the European Championship. It is worth noting that this year's tournament is set to begin on June 11 across 13 cities, including the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.

Senior officials believe that as a gesture of goodwill, prisoners of war may be returned before or during the championship, which would serve both Azerbaijan's international image and help boost the ratings of the 'My Step' party during the pre-election period.
