Damage Amounting to 1,375,205 AMD Caused

On April 17, 2021, photos documenting tree felling in the "Dilijan" National Park were posted on the Facebook page of the "Guardian House" civic initiative, prompting the Ministry of Environment to send a notification to the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body.

The Ministry of Environment reports that employees from the Territorial Division of the Inspection Body conducted an on-site investigation, resulting in the identification of 46 different tree stumps. The calculated damage to the plant world amounted to 1,375,205 AMD.

The relevant materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia for further action. All citizens are urged to report such incidents immediately to the Police of Armenia, the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, or to the Ministry of Environment.
