32-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian in Front of NSS Building in Yerevan

This evening, on April 21, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 20:00, 32-year-old Romanos Tadevosyan, driving an Opel vehicle, hit a 60-65 year old man who was crossing at a designated pedestrian area at the intersection of Nalbandyan, Moscow, and Khanzhyan streets, directly in front of the National Security Service building.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan on the scene, the driver did not flee and assisted the emergency rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who promptly arrived at the scene, as well as citizens, Yerevan traffic police, and the emergency medical team from Yerevan 1-03, in transferring the injured pedestrian to the number 1 university hospital. The doctors at the scene provided initial medical assistance to the victim before his transfer to the hospital.

After the accident, the Opel car ended up in the opposite traffic lane. The driver underwent a sobriety test on the spot, which confirmed that he was sober.
