The Fallen Soldier's Uncle Apologizes to the Prime Minister for Preventing Access to the Hero's Grave

On April 17, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Vayots Dzor region. At the cemetery in the Getap community, where the Prime Minister came to pay respects to the fallen in the 44-day Artsakh war, an incident occurred. A person claiming to be the brother of one of the fallen soldiers did not allow Nikol Pashinyan to approach one of the soldiers' graves.

It turned out that the deceased was Karen Yeghoyan, whose uncle, Ashot Yeghoyan, has since apologized to the Prime Minister for the incident on his Facebook page.

“Arman, you say you have every right, but as Karen's uncle, I tell you that you had no right to behave this way and prevent our country's Prime Minister from honoring and laying flowers at my brother's son's grave. Moreover, you not only acted against family interests but were disguised as a relative while representing the opposing political polar. You merely executed the orders of 17 political mercenaries for which you will greatly regret. As the uncle of a fallen soldier, I apologize to the Prime Minister and the entire Getap community.”

Best regards, Ashot Yeghoyan,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
