Not Only Nikol Pashinyan but Also the U.S. Ambassador is in Syunik
It has already been reported that Nikol Pashinyan made an unexpected visit to Syunik, arriving in Kapan around midnight. Nobody in Syunik was informed about this visit, and upon learning, people are anxious and putting forward various hypotheses. One of them is that Pashinyan is going for some night meeting at the border, reports hraparak.am.
Interestingly, for several days, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian is also in Syunik. Additionally, U.S. Ambassador Lynne Tracy has traveled to Syunik since yesterday. She met with the mayor of Sisian yesterday, inquired about the situation in the community during the post-war period, and presented the efforts of the U.S. aimed at assisting displaced people from Artsakh due to the war and the efforts being made in the recognition and identification of the remains of the deceased.
From the announcement published on the Sisian municipality's website, we also learned that the ambassador "was interested in the mood among the Artsakh residents who have settled in Sisian, whether they intend to stay in Sisian or have plans to return." People in Syunik believe it is no coincidence that the leaders of Armenia and the U.S. ambassador appeared in Syunik at the same time, as they have bad premonitions regarding this unexpected interest in their region.
