I Take My Potential Participation in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections Very Seriously: Trump
Former U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering the possibility of participating in the campaign for the presidential election in 2024. He made this statement during an interview with Fox News on the evening of April 19.
“First of all, I would like to say that it is still a long way off,” Trump noted in response to a question about his chances of participating in the next presidential elections. The former White House leader pointed out that based on the results of the last election, where he received the votes of 75 million Americans, he maintains a high level of confidence.
“Here’s what I will say. I take (the idea of participating in the next presidential election) very seriously. More than seriously. But from a legal standpoint, I don’t want to elaborate on that for now,” Trump emphasized.
In March, the former president announced that he would make a final decision about possibly running for the presidency again after the midterm elections, which will take place in 2022. Earlier, he expressed confidence that Republicans have a chance of regaining control of both chambers of the U.S. Congress based on the results of the 2022 elections. On February 28, the former leader suggested in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, that he might again run for the position of head of state, TASS reported.
