Three Men Detained for Attempting to Steal Underground Cables from a Military Unit

On April 16, at 3:50 PM, officers of the Stepanavan division of the Police detained three men from the village of Gargarch in the field near the village of Pushkino while they were attempting to steal cables. This was reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Armenian police.

They informed the police that on April 15, they had also cut and stolen about 12 meters of copper cable belonging to one of the military units in the area with an axe. Measures are being taken to retrieve the stolen goods. The extent of the damage is being determined. An investigation is underway,” the statement said.
