Nikol Pashinyan Celebrates Mother's Birthday in Ijevan with Grandeur

Journalist Voskanyan Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Yesterday, on April 18, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan celebrated his mother-in-law Yerjanik's birthday in his hometown of Ijevan with great pomp. According to eyewitnesses from Ijevan, many officials and security personnel attended the festive event alongside Nikol Pashinyan. The celebration took place at one of Ijevan's well-known restaurants. Pashinyan personally bought a bouquet for his mother-in-law from one of the city's flower shops.

Residents of Ijevan told my correspondent that under the circumstances of thousands of victims, wounded, and missing people, along with hundreds of detainees in Azerbaijan, Nikol Pashinyan should have celebrated his mother-in-law's birthday modestly rather than with a grand feast.

Nikol Pashinyan's mother, Svetana, was born in 1947 and passed away from brain cancer in 1988 when Nikol was 13 years old. The people of Ijevan describe her as a beautiful and kind woman. It is noteworthy that Vova Pashinyan's second wife, Yerjanik, who is originally from Yenokavan, is a relative of Vova Pashinyan. Vova Pashinyan had no children with her."
