Levon Zurabyan: I Regret to State That the Leader of Armenia is a Liar, as Such a Thing Has Not Happened
I regret to state that the leader of Armenia is a liar, as such a thing has not happened. Furthermore, Nikol Pashinyan asserts this very categorically. This is an absolute lie, and it does not correspond to reality; such a thing has not occurred.
This was stated by Levon Zurabyan, Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Congress, during an interview on Azatutyun, commenting on Nikol Pashinyan's statement that Levon Ter-Petrosyan told him in July 2018 to give up the territories.
The ability of the Armenian state leader to lie is actually a danger to national security, because he uses the same style not only during internal political meetings but also during external political meetings. The disastrous consequences we face in diplomacy and in this war are partly related to his unreliability and the inability to deal with such a quality, along with quite serious systemic flaws contained in his governance.
Regarding his claim, we specifically state: this is an absolute lie. We suggest that if he wishes to restore his credibility, although that credibility is beyond saving, he should simply provide any evidence, especially since he is making a quotation, which implies that he can somehow prove that such a statement was made. We propose to bring any evidence that Ter-Petrosyan has ever made such a statement. No, it is a lie, it is incorrect; there is no such thing.
What Ter-Petrosyan said, in contrast to Nikol Pashinyan, is that he not only doesn't understand that secrets should not be disclosed, but says, 'Let me disclose a secret,' and then reveals a secret, only to add another crime on top of it. He is not actually disclosing a secret, but instead presents an absolute fabricated lie under the guise of revealing a secret. This is an unbecoming behavior for a state leader. Therefore, I say that we are people of a slightly different morality and, in general, representatives of different ethics in negotiations or state policy, and naturally do not disclose the content of confidential conversations. Something completely different was discussed; completely different things were said,” Zurabyan stated.
