US Embassy in Baku Responds to Ilham Aliyev

The US Embassy in Baku has commented on remarks made by Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with international experts on April 13. Reports turan.az.

During the meeting held at the Diplomatic Academy of Baku, the President of Azerbaijan stated that he is unclear about Washington's position regarding the developments in the South Caucasus in recent months. Aliyev also claimed that the new US administration is disrupting the balance between Baku and Yerevan.

The US Embassy's statement included, "As a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the US will continue to work with the parties to promote a lasting political resolution and reconciliation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."

American diplomats further emphasized that "Washington continues to value its partnership with Azerbaijan in this vital region."
