The Voice of the People Must Not Hide Anything, Even the Worst Circumstances or Agreements - Kostanyan
Before the war, we were unclear about what we wanted and we negotiated on what we should and what we wanted, which was diplomacy, followed by war. During this time, there were inadequate signals and intoxicating politics, an information blockade, and the unexpected signing of the November 9 statement behind the people's back, which we had no right to do without discussing it with the people's representatives.
We will be merciless about the outcomes and causes of the war. This was stated by Anna Kostanyan, a member of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, during a speech in the National Assembly.
“After that, there were unclear demarcations with GPS, unfavorable conditions for Armenians, unclear maps, and panic among people—a continuation of this process with no prospects at the borders of the Republic of Armenia,” said the LHK MP.
The MP demanded that no process or agreement be hidden: “The one who speaks on behalf of the people has no right to conceal anything, even the worst circumstances or agreements. You are giving disproportionate and toothless responses to the statements made by the Turkish-Azerbaijani military elite or you are simply silent. If you cannot communicate effectively in diplomacy, then you should step aside and let those who can speak.”
“And who said that we must present ourselves to the world after the war or during it with a submissive and crooked posture, through manipulations? It is enough to search for guilty parties among the former leaders or their predecessors, as you are the number one responsible for the start of the war and its tragic end because you could have prevented it but did not,” Anna Kostanyan concluded.
