Tavush Police Discover Illegal Firearms and Pistol Ammunition
As part of the "Arsenal-2021" comprehensive preventive measure, the officers of the Tavush regional department of the police continue their daily activities aimed at discovering illegally held weapons and ammunition.
On April 8, they received another tip-off. To verify the information, Tavush police visited the village of Navur. In the residence of a 27-year-old man, firearms of the "IZH" type with calibers of 16 and 20 mm, as well as pistol ammunition, were found in plain sight.
The illegally held weapons and ammunition were confiscated. A forensic examination has been ordered. The police once again urge the public to voluntarily surrender illegal weapons and ammunition to avoid criminal liability.
Note: The suspected or accused individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia, with a legally binding court verdict.
