Our Number of Casualties is Around 4000, I Apologize for Making This Statement, Plus or Minus 50. Pashinyan

As of today, we have confirmed 3621 casualties and 321 people on the missing persons list, according to death certificates. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this in the National Assembly, noting that it is difficult to discuss the statistics of our losses.

“At the same time, we have 201 bodies or remains undergoing DNA testing, and we have over 100 identified bodies confirmed by specific relatives. However, for various reasons, the relatives are currently refusing to accept this fact, which is understandable. Many of our compatriots believe that their loved ones are alive, captured, and there are families that do not trust the results of DNA testing and independently initiate DNA testing abroad, despite our willingness to carry out such cases with state resources,” he said.

Summarizing, Nikol Pashinyan presented the total number of casualties. “If nothing changes, and it’s hard to imagine that it will, our number of casualties is around 4000, I apologize for making this statement, plus or minus 50. Again, I apologize for using such words, and I ask that we respect the memory of our victims with a moment of silence,” he added.
