If Robert Kocharyan were a Turkish agent, yes, Vazgen Sargsyan and Karen Demirchyan would have been executed during his time, says Prime Minister
Today in the parliament, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to former President Robert Kocharyan regarding accusations of being a Turkish agent:
“If Robert Kocharyan were a Turkish agent and if during 1997-98 Turkey were led by such agents, the greatest service they could provide to Azerbaijan would be to exclude Nagorno-Karabakh from the negotiating process, guaranteeing that they consider Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. If Robert Kocharyan were a Turkish agent, yes, during his time, Vazgen Sargsyan and Karen Demirchyan would have been executed, because who else could lead the National Security Service other than a Turkish agent? Yes, they would have been executed.”
The Prime Minister also stated that the Kocharyan-Sargsyan duo has failed the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiations over 20 years by using the issue to come to power.
