Deliberately Leading the Country into New Trials Amid Real Threats Ignored
The head of the Analytical Center "Henaket" and former security advisor to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a Facebook post stating that a parent of conscript soldiers who attended a meeting with the Prime Minister noted that they raised concerns regarding the security guarantees for conscript soldiers serving in Artsakh. In response, Prime Minister Pashinyan asked, "Are you sure the Turk won’t be in Yerevan tomorrow?" Of course, we are not sure, especially considering that the country is in the hands of people like you, not to mention the daily threats and provocations from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Is there anyone doubting that the Turks will try to achieve their desired goal at the first opportunity—to destroy and drive the Armenians from their homes and seize the remaining parts of Artsakh and Armenia? The issue is that knowing all this, being aware of the danger, even discussing it in meetings with various circles, you continuously talk about making friends with the Turks, opening borders without serious security guarantees. It’s as if nothing ever happened.
If you are aware of the possibility of the Turks reaching Yerevan, then why are you dulling the vigilance of society? Why do you continuously speak of false peace? Why are you convincing people that, in exchange for thousands of casualties and the loss of a large part of Artsakh, you have secured long-lasting peace? Ultimately, why are you lying to the public, heralding a beautiful future under the banner of broad cooperation and friendship with Turkey and Azerbaijan, when you yourself admit that there is no guarantee the Turk won’t reach Yerevan?
Deliberately, they are leading the country into new trials, failures, and tragedies, and what’s most terrifying is that knowing the reality, they are doing nothing to prevent the imminent threat.
