US Expresses Concern Over Situation at Russia-Ukraine Border
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in an interview with NBC that Washington is concerned about the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border, and American officials are currently discussing the matter with European allied countries and partners.
“I must say that I am seriously concerned about Russia's actions near the border with Ukraine,” he noted. According to Blinken, “there are more Russian forces concentrated at those borders than at any time since 2014.”
As previously stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, the movement of Russian troops across Russian territory should not concern other states as it poses no threat to them. He also emphasized that the events in Donbas are an internal Ukrainian conflict to which Russian forces have never participated.
