Identity of Citizen Injured in Shots Fired in Kilikia District Unveiled

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the shots fired yesterday on Verfeli Street in the Kilikia district. Police have identified the victim as 33-year-old Ishkhan Abrahamyan, a resident of Yerevan, who was shot by a 29-year-old local resident. Due to the interests of the investigation, his identity has not been disclosed. The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to identify the perpetrator and to find the weapon used in the crime.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the injured Ishkhan Abrahamyan has previously been convicted multiple times. Earlier, it was reported that shots were fired in Yerevan on April 10. Around 21:20, a report was received at the operational management center of the Yerevan police about the shots heard in the Kilikia district. Police and investigators discovered blood-like traces near a shop on the mentioned street, casings fired from an automatic weapon, and a bullet fired inside the store.
