David Babayan: "We must think that the Armenian statehood does not become the greatest danger to the security of the Armenian people"

In this case, we welcome and emphasize both the meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the discussions of the First President of Artsakh and the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, with Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, David Babayan, during an interview on AD TV's "Interview" program.

“We must use all kinds of opportunities and not focus on internal political issues. Artsakh must always rise above all this. We always speak of the preservation of Artsakh's subjectivity in geopolitical terms,” said Babayan.

The Foreign Minister of Artsakh noted that the issue of prisoners is also in the purview of the international community, under the responsibility of relevant organizations and structures.

“There is hatred towards Artsakh in certain circles, as if they were pleased, saying, 'Get out of that territory.' How can one say such a thing? There is nothing personal; I do not even know that person personally. I have never interacted with him to recognize Shushi as Azerbaijani, or to say that the Azerbaijanis treat the prisoners well. I do not know, nor do I want to know these individuals, but such statements cause serious harm and violate Artsakh as an idea, as a value. Do we not understand this? We are expecting more severe trials, worse developments, and I am afraid to say this, but we must think that Armenian statehood should not become the greatest threat to the security of the Armenian people,” said David Babayan.
