Crimes Against Humanity Have No Statute of Limitations: Armenian Foreign Ministry on the Massacre in Maragha
On April 10, the 29th anniversary of the genocide perpetrated by Azerbaijan against the peaceful population of the Maragha village in the Martakert region of the Republic of Artsakh is marked. This was stated in a communiqué released on the Facebook page of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It particularly notes: “Azerbaijani troops, invading Maragha, brutally killed and tortured the local peaceful population, including women, children, and the elderly. The perpetrators of these crimes received state awards, while their commander was honored with the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan, which indicates that the policy of hatred and genocide against Armenians is encouraged at the highest state level in Azerbaijan. Crimes against humanity have no statute of limitations and must be condemned. The tragic events of Maragha remain a scar in the memory of our people.”
