VIDEO: Territorial Issues Cannot Be Discussed Using Prisoners as Leverage - A. Kotcharyan

There was an agreement that has been violated, and the reasons are not clear. This was stated by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee and member of the 'My Step' faction, Andranik Kotcharyan, during a conversation with reporters regarding the unsuccessful return of prisoners yesterday.

He noted that they were not aware that this would happen. 'Once again, the opposing side wants to change the rules of the game. The signatures of the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan are present in the ceasefire regime. Here, perhaps, an issue is being raised that hinders the return of prisoners,' Kotcharyan said.

According to him, keeping prisoners in Azerbaijan cannot be related to territorial issues. 'Prisoners cannot be used to discuss territorial problems,' he declared.

Reporters mentioned circulating rumors that an Azerbaijani-Turkish delegation had returned on a plane from Baku. In response, the MP said, 'There is a lot of talk. Have you seen that delegation? Has there been any official statement?' He also noted that the question of the return of prisoners occurred immediately after the meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia.
