Thirteen Streets in Aghunk Community of Gegharkunik Province to Bear Names of Heroes from Artsakh Wars

Thirteen streets in the Aghunk community of Gegharkunik Province will henceforth bear the names of local heroes who perished in the Artsakh wars: Edward Petrosyan, Hovik Hovhannisyan, Mesrop Zohrapyan, Gay Ghazaryan, Arsen Hovhannisyan, Onik Simonian, Narek Hovhannisyan, Surik Avetisyan, Garnik Khachatryan, Artsrun Simonian, Ara Khachatryan, Artashes Janibekyan, and Sasun Movsisyan.

The naming ceremony for the streets coincided with commemorative events honoring the fallen heroes from the Aghunk community. At the entrance of each named street, ribbons were cut, and words of tribute and remembrance were voiced, accompanied by a blessing ceremony.

Flowers were laid at the monument dedicated to the local victims of the Artsakh wars, located in the newly established park in Aghunk.
